In 2017 Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson asked Greg Vardaman to serve as State Circuit Court Judge in the 9TH East Judicial District of Southwest Arkansas.  Greg willingly accepted the opportunity to serve the State of Arkansas and his community, serving a term as Circuit Judge until 2019.  His life experience as a former District Court Judge, prosecutor, City Attorney and people’s attorney gave Greg valuable insight and the good common sense to  preside over hundreds of court cases and jury trials while sitting as State Court Judge.  During Greg’s tenure as Circuit Judge, the 9th East District became one of the best and most efficient Judicial Districts in the entire State, which it remains to this day.  Having completed the request of the Governor to serve as Judge, Greg now returns to the practice of law, re-opening The Vardaman Law Firm, PLLC, a full-service law firm, to meet all of your legal needs.

Greg Vardaman is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, with most of his summers spent on his grandparents farm in McGehee, Arkansas, where he first learned to enjoy some of the hottest summers, best watermelon the State has to offer, and battle some really big mosquitos.  Most of all, he learned the the value of small town life in Arkansas.  Greg graduated from Mills High School, and went on to graduate with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a B.A. in History.  During law school, Greg was a member of the Board of Advocates, a body of elected students that run all student functions for the school.

After graduating law school, Greg worked as a Prosecuting Attorney and City Attorney for two years, while also maintaining a small insurance defense practice.  In 2007 Greg opened the Vardaman Law Firm, PLLC, in LIttle Rock, Arkansas, as  full service law firm representing  individuals and small businesses, while also donating his time and energy to the Arkansas Legal Aid Project every Friday.

In 2009 Greg married a beautiful young lady from southwest Arkansas, and he moved his practice to Arkadelphia, Arkansas, after the birth of his first child.  His practice from 2009 until 2017 focused primarily on personal injury, criminal defense, family law, civil litigation and bankruptcy.  Greg also worked as a part-time public defender from 2013 until 2017 defending indigent persons, and as a panel attorney for the United States Federal Court – Western District of Arkansas  during that same period. 

Greg was formally appointed Circuit Court Judge by Governor Asa Hutchinson in 2017, where he served until 2019.  In 2019, The Vardaman Law Firm, PLLC re-opened for business.  

Greg Vardaman is a seasoned attorney and speaker, a former Circuit Court and Special District Court Judge, and a veteran of well over 1,000 court cases and jury trials in both Federal and State Courts.  In his spare time, Greg enjoys helping coach his daughter’s little league teams, studying election law and politics (yes, he’s a nerd), hunting, riding 4 wheelers, traveling when possible, and doing whatever the kids want to do.
